Diego Forlan : The World's Most Player Uruguay - Diego Forlan Corazo Martin, better known by the name of Diego Forlan is Uruguay's national team striker who currently plays in La Liga Spain with Atletico Madrid. Forlan was born in the capital of Uruguay, Montivedo on May 19, 1979.
Forlan was born in a football family. His father, Pablo Forlan, Uruguay is a former national team players at the 1966 World Cup in England and 1974 in West Germany. Grandfather Forlan, Juan Carlos Corazo, is a former player Independiente (Argentina). Diego Forlan has double nationality, Uruguay and Spain.
After the success with Independiente (Argentina) Forlan joined Manchester United in January 2002 at a cost of £ 7m transfer. His debut with the Red Devils are on January 29, 2002 against Bolton Wanderes.
Beginning his career at Old Trafford did not run smoothly because of the new Forlan scored on 18 September 2002 against Maccabi Haifa (Israel) in the Champions League group stage. It took 27 games for Forlan to score his first goal for United.
Forlan moved to Villareal in the 2004-2005 season and immediately won the El Pichichi (top scorer) in his first season in La Liga. Forlan helped bring Villareal for the first time in history the club won the Champions League tickets as well as the top scorer in Europe with Thierry Henry.
